Ohio Township Park coming to Warrick County
A 20-acre visionary park and green space to be developed alongside a new fire station and community center. The park features a giant modern playground, large engaging splash pad, outdoor fitness stations, running and walking trails, sport courts, event lawns, and much more. Located a mile east of Interstate 69, this park will be connected to the Warrick Wellness Trail plus shopping, restaurants, hotels and workplaces.
The park is currently out for pre-bid, which means the development is currently seeking bids by contractors and construction groups. The pre-bid date is scheduled for tomorrow, March 8, followed by the bid date on March 15, 2024. Construction is set to include site work, activity areas, six structures, site lighting, along with associated sidewalks and utilities.

Think fresh molé from Mexico, Ceviche, Plantains, Pasteles (casseroles & savory tarts), etc. Common ingredients in Latin dishes are corn, potatoes, cacao, chiles, beans, seafood, beef, chicken, etc.

The Arwood Family Treehouse takes shape at Wesselman Woods
The new treehouse will be located at the Welborn Baptist Foundation Nature Playscape, which was built in 2018 and offers over five-acres of natural landscape, outdoor learning and exploration. This area is home to the Bernhardt Family Bird Sanctuary, trails, nature play "rooms, plants, structures, a red bud tree tunnel, a dry creek bed ecosystem and more nature-based play features. The treehouse is expected to open later this year.

The 5th and Main development has been a long stalled project, but seems to finally be moving forward with its new developers. The former 420 Main building was removed via a controlled implosion back in 2021. This particular rendering was released at the last update back in June 2023, but is expected to be tweaked. Building plans have been submitted to both the Site Review Committee and the state (IDHS).
