The Arwood Family Treehouse 🌲

You can reach new heights in the forest at the BRAND NEW Arwood Family Treehouse!  This addition to the Welborn Baptist Foundation Nature Playscape in Wesselman Woods is ten years in the making! The Arwood Family Treehouse came to life in June 2024. The Treehouse reaches its highest elevation at 12 feet, allowing guests to climb to new heights in the forest and capture new views of the mid-canopy.
The ramps, rock walls, rope bridges, and climbing ropes give people of all ages many ways to adventure. With the overlook at Odonata Pond, you may even catch a glimpse of the local turtle population.
So, grab your hiking shoes and put on your outdoor attire – it’s time to play!

Shah's Halal began in 2005 as a lone food cart in Queens, N.Y., and opened its first brick & mortar storefront in 2016.  Their menu includes chicken, lamb, falafel, kebab and fish platters, with basmati rice and a variety of sauces; gyros; cheese steak sandwiches; burgers; chicken nuggets; hummus; salads; baklava and much more!  Their food is made in-house fresh daily, and everything we tried was excellent!

The Evansville Regional Economic Partnership (E-REP), regional stakeholders and Sasaki unveiled proposed developments for the Ohio River Vision and Strategic Plan at a community event and open house. Covering 50 miles and driven by the comments of thousands of regional residents, these plans embody a collective vision for vibrant, inclusive, and thriving riverfronts, designed to attract residents, businesses, and visitors to the Evansville Region.

Sunrise Cafe Family Restaurant has officially announced that they are opening a second restaurant!
The new restaurant is tentatively scheduled to open mid-July 2024 on Evansville's east side.

Starting on July 1st, Sunrise Cafe's new business hours will be:
Monday-Thursday: 6:30AM-3PM
Friday-Sunday: 6AM-3PM

SWIRCA Groundbreaking! 🛠️

SWIRCA  | Southwestern Indiana Regional Council on Aging broke ground on a new 16,000 SF expansion!
The new Sol and Arlene Bronstein Foundation Center will be built next to the current location in the Jacobsville neighborhood, just off of North Main Street. The new building will house a new technology lab and training center, expanded food pantry, caregiver library, counseling rooms, workspaces, rehabilitation clinic and more.
The project was designed by LA+D and the new building is scheduled to open by the end of this year.

Exciting News for Downtown Evansville Indiana!

 Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry, CRG Residential, and E-REP proudly broke ground at the project site, marking the beginning of a transformative journey for our city. Construction for The Vault on Main is set to commence in June and is expected to take 24 months.

This high-profile project will feature:

161 residential units

First-floor retail on Main Street

An underground parking garage
