A Century of Celebration, Fried Food, and Local Pride

Ah, the Fall Fest. The fry-light of fall in our Region. Think: anything you can dream of, deep fried in greasy goodness, with an apple cider in hand, and live competitions to enjoy. Plus, all the proceeds go to local nonprofits. You get the good munchies, and the nonprofits help the community! The Fall Fest is the one time of year when locals gather together to fill their bellies, judgement free. In fact, it is a rite of passage around here.

What started as a humble group of businessmen trying to better their community has turned into Evansville's biggest event of the year. The West Side Nut Club Fall Festival (known by locals as the Fall Fest) is beloved by people all over the country. Over 200,000 visitors flock to Franklin Street for a taste of fried deliciousness and small town charm. Around here, we like to think of it as our own version of Mardi Gras, only with more fryers and fewer beads.

The first full week of October around here means Franklin Street has turned from an ordinary, historical road into an all-out bash. Over 100 food trucks, amusement park rides, and endless memories all packed into one lively street in downtown Evansville. Go for an evening with friends, or come back every night. We won't judge.

So, come for the fried food and entertainment, stay for the memories. And don't forget to try a few local classics like the pulled pork parfait, turkey leg, fried sweets, and the famous brain sandwich...if you know, you know. The Fall Fest is a place to try something new, maybe get a little belly ache, and connect with the local culture.
