While standard admission applies, you can also check out a Family Pass from the EVPL or several other regional libraries to explore the ancient trees and Nature Playscape absolutely free. You can also ask about the Eco-Access Initiative that provides sponsored memberships for families that qualify. 🌲

Ready for your close-up? Grab your phone and head downtown to Self.e Alley! This totally free outdoor photo gallery is the perfect place to get silly and snap some new pics. Show off that famous Midwestern charm and give your profile picture a glow-up with dozens of colorful, creative mural backgrounds. 📸
John James Audubon State Park
Need a nature fix? It's just a quick hop, skip, and jump over the bridge to Henderson, KY, to get outdoorsy at John James Audubon State Park. Evansville Museum of Arts, History, & Science
Situated on the beautiful Ohio Riverfront, the Evansville Museum offers a deep dive into art, history, and science. If you want to visit for free, mark your calendar for the first Friday of each month. From 11 AM to 5 PM, the museum offers free gallery and EMTRAC admission. Can't make it on a Friday? You can also use an EVPL Cultural Pass to get in at no cost! 🎨
Evansville Wartime Museum
The Midwest feels a little less landlocked at the Evansville Wartime Museum. Step back in time and learn about our community’s massive role in winning WWII. You will see authentic vehicles, including a 1943 M4A4 Sherman Tank and a P-47 Thunderbolt. Kids ages five and under always get in free, but the rest of the family can also visit without spending a penny by checking out a Cultural Pass from the EVPL. ✈️
Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden
Lions, tigers, and budget-friendly fun, oh my! Mesker Park Zoo is a quintessential staple of the Evansville Region. While general admission can range from $8 - $11, this is another fantastic attraction where your EVPL Cultural Pass comes in handy. Angel Mounds & Indiana State Museums
If you want to explore the region's rich indigenous history, Angel Mounds State Historic Site is a must-visit for nature nerds and history buffs alike. While a pass is needed to enter the interpretive center, the beautiful hiking trails surrounding the mounds are always free to roam.
