Bluegrass in the Park Folklife Festival
Where: Audubon State Park, Henderson, KY
Bluegrass in the Park is celebrating its 40th year, and you're cordially invited. Head to Audubon Mill Park for a free weekend packed with live bluegrass music, folklife exhibits, kids' activities, and plenty of great food. It's been named a Top 20 Event in the Southeast by the Southeast Tourism Council, and once you've been, you'll see exactly why. Free admission, good music, and good people. That's about as Midwestern as it gets.

2026 Cowboy Con
Where: Camp Brosend, Newburgh, IN
Saddle up! Cowboy Con is riding back into Newburgh, Indiana, for its 13th year, and it's bigger than ever. This three-day celebration of the Old West features western shows, movie screenings with Q&As, radio show reenactments, a tractor show, a barn dance, celebrity appearances, stuntmen, vendor booths, and kids' activities. Grammy Award-nominated artist Keith Burns is headlining the western concert. And the best part? Every dollar raised goes directly to support the Warrick County food and clothing pantry. Dress up in your western finest because there are prizes for the best costume!

Where: Evansville Museum
Nerds, rejoice! ๐ The Evansville Museum Geek Con is back for its 10th year, and it's shaping up to be the biggest one yet. Running from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science, this family-friendly convention celebrates the inner nerd in all of us with panels, hands-on activities, board games, a vendor room, and a cosplay contest. Tickets are $14 for adults and $9 for youth, with free entry for museum members.

Vintage Vines ๐ท
Where: Mesker Park Zoo, Evansville
Cap off the month in style. The 7th Annual Vintage Vines is a black-tie evening at Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden, complete with a multi-course gourmet dinner, fine wine, live music, and a live auction featuring rare bourbon, exclusive experiences, and special zoo encounters. Tickets are $175, and tables of eight are available. Proceeds go straight back to the zoo's conservation mission, so you get to dress up and do some good. Now that's a Saturday well spent.
