The Evansville Region keeps growing. There’s more career, entertainment, and living opportunities than ever before! The Evansville Regional Airport has definitely followed suit. If you’re traveling with kids, pets, or you have conference calls to make while you wait on your flight, EVV has you covered.
Check out these recent upgrades they’ve made to make your experience better, inside and out.
Interior Airport Upgrades:
- Interior Centralized screening area with a dedicated lane for TSA PreCheck.
- The Iron Compass restaurant, bar, and concession area has been reconfigured so you can access it and other amenities after you go through security.
- All gate areas have been upgraded with enhanced seating, workspaces, and charging stations for all your devices.
- New post-security business lounge with private work spaces and hoteling.
- New post-security pet relief area, kids areas, and nursing rooms are available.
- New skylights, finishes, carpet, and floor coverings make for a more comfortable environment.
Exterior Airport Upgrades:
- Exterior walkways are now covered from the terminal building to the rental car lot and passenger parking lots.
- You're safer with enhanced pedestrian safety across the terminal loop drive to and from the parking lots.
- Getting where you need to go is easier with enhanced walkways, including ADA and baggage friendly sidewalks to and from the terminal building and passenger parking lots.
- Landscaping and greenspaces have been revitalized surrounding the airport.
- There is now a direct access lane to the rental car lot from the terminal loop drive.
- A dedicated ground transportation lane and drop-off pick-up area is available for your convenience.

The Evansville Regional Airport’s collection of programs, “For EVVeryone”, aims to help passengers and guests of all abilities.
Crypto the Airport Therapy Dog
In 2023, EVV launched a new airport therapy program, EVV Crew Dogs. And it's just as cute (and comforting) as it sounds. The program launched in 2023 with the founding Crew Dog Captain, Crypto, with more volunteer dogs coming soon! You can find Crypto comforting passengers awaiting flights on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program
The Evansville Regional Airport is proud to participate in the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program. This program recognizes that not all disabilities are visible, and aims to assist passengers with disabilities like autism, hearing loss, chronic pain, and PTSD. Free sunflower lanyards, bracelets and pins are available to passengers that may need a little extra help or time throughout their journey.
Sensory Equipment Kits
In partnership with a local Evansville non-profit, CAMSE (Cam’s Sensory Equipment Kits) are available to passengers in need to help bring a sense of calm and comfort in the event of an emergency or crisis.
