A First-Class Education
Since its beginning, Signature School has put emphasis on excellence in academics, the arts, technology, and community service, making it one of the best places to get an education. All Signature courses are designed to comply with the Indiana Academic Standards for the appropriate grade level.
In 2006, Signature became an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. As an IB World School, Signature School has adopted and committed to the standards, practices, and requirements of developing its programs as defined by the International Baccalaureate Organization. The IB World School framework is built to be flexible so teachers, students, and schools have the power to tailor an education that is appropriate to their culture, context, needs, interests, and learning abilities.
Adding to its prestige, in 2016, Signature School became an AP Capstone School. The Advanced Placement Program (AP) provides college-level courses to students still in high school, giving them the ability to master certain skills before college. AP courses offered at Signature School include: Literature, U.S. Government, Physics, History, Music Theory and much more.
In addition to more rigorous courses, every student is required to complete at least 25 hours of community service every year, and they have the opportunity to join any of the 30 clubs and academic organizations or participate in golf, cross country, or track/field.
It’s easy to see how the students graduating from Signature School become well-rounded young adults that have the confidence to take on the challenging coursework of college. And through the many hours of community service they’ve logged since Freshman year, graduating seniors leave with more relationships and connections to local leaders and organizations.

Alumni Students Honored in Forbes 30 Under 30
Not only is the school itself ranked among the best of the best, two former Signature School students, Kerry Ao and Naina Muvva, have recently been named to 2024 “Forbes 30 Under 30” list at just 19 years old.
When Ao and Muvva learned that 80% of Americans can't identify basic financial literacy concepts, they created Intertwined, an educational software platform that uses AI to adapt to how each student interacts with the curriculum.
Born from an idea in business club at Signature School, their software program has a valuation of 2 million dollars, and has already helped 2,800 students learn basic and more complex financial concepts.
Integrated Into the Evansville Community
Over time, Signature School has truly become an integral part of the Evansville community. The 3-building campus sits right on Main Street, in Downtown Evansville, making several local businesses, restaurants, and facilities just a short walk away.
Students at Signature School use the newly renovated gym at the Downtown YMCA, they visit two nearby libraries for research, studying, and reading, and they often eat lunch at one of the many locally owned eateries.
The proximity of the school to the Civic Center, Ford Center, libraries, museums, businesses, and financial institutions only enhances the educational experience for students and exposes them to more opportunities.
