Three Bs

The Three Bs

This powerful program features music of the three most popular and recognized composers in classical music. Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 is known for its unusual form and instrumentation — three violins, three violas, three cellos and basso continuo — and one of his most famous works. Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 bridges the divide between his two earlier, more clearly Mozart-derived concertos and a more personal style. Returning to Evansville to perform Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 is internationally celebrated pianist Jon Nakamatsu, who continues to draw critical and public acclaim for his intensity, elegance, and electrifying solo, concerto, and chamber music performances. Brahms’ Fourth (and final) Symphony is full of warmth and beauty, and the symphony cuts as close to the heart as music can.
