Mayse Farm Market
Mayse Farm Market has been providing fresh produce for over 70 years. Starting each September, it’s stocked full of pumpkins, gourds, mums, and more. The smells from their bakery will lure you in; be sure to try their seasonal apple and pumpkin breads, as well as their pumpkin and pecan pies. Fall on the Farm includes all kinds of activities and family fun, including wagon rides, U-Pick pumpkins, farm animals, games, photo opportunities, and their signature 5 acre corn maze. Visit them weekday afternoons or during the weekends through October 30th, and get more information on tickets on their website.
Goebel Farms is another great family farm, located just north of Evansville. They have a wide variety of fall decorations, and their apple cider slushie is a must have each year. You can purchase tickets at goebelfarms.com for hayrides to the pumpkin patch with the infamous barn slide and the corn maize, which this year benefits Ukraine. The kids will love the free petting zoo featuring goats, Alpacas and Pumpkin the pony, not to mention the grain bin (picture a sand pit, but with corn *can’t imagine a more beautiful thing*).
Last but not least is Cates Farm, one of Henderson, Kentucky’s favorite family farms. Take a short drive across the bride for a day of fun at the 10 acre pumpkin patch and 14 acre corn maze. General admission includes a pick-your-own pumpkin, access to the challenging corn maze, hayrides, and bonfires. Kids will love the barrel train, jump pad, straw maze and corn box. You can find more information on their Facebook page.
