### A Celebration of Creativity and Connection
When the first Friday of the month rolls around in the Evansville Region, you’ll find one of the city's most electric corners buzzing with life. For the past 10 years, First Friday in Haynie’s Corner has brought together artists, musicians, food vendors, and neighbors to celebrate community and creativity in one of Evansville’s most vibrant districts.
What started in 2015 as a way to activate the Arts District has grown into a beloved monthly tradition—50% street fest, 50% art walk, 100% heart and soul. Each First Friday (May through October), the streets around Haynie’s Corner Fountain come alive with local art booths, live music, pop-up food stands, and patio vibes that stretch into the evening.
But it’s not just about what you can see or hear—it’s about who you’ll meet. First Fridays have become a place where neighbors connect, where creatives share their work, and where new folks fall in love with the Evansville Region's energy. It’s laid-back, it’s welcoming, and it’s one of the easiest ways to plug into the local scene.
## Come for the vibes, stay for the art.
Here’s what to expect if you’re headed to Haynie’s Corner for First Friday:
- Art booths lining the streets with everything from prints to pottery.
- Live music that sets the tone (sometimes jazz, sometimes indie—always fun).
- Food trucks and pop-ups to satisfy your street food cravings.
- Open patios and local restaurants serving up specials and good vibes.
#### If you haven’t been in a while—or if you’ve never been at all—this is your sign. It’s been ten years of First Fridays, and it just keeps getting better.
