Louis Armstrong & Friends with Evansville Philharmonic
The great Louis Armstrong collaborated with virtually every major musical star of the 20th century, including Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, and many others. With that endearing Satchmo spirit and one-of-a-kind charisma, vocalists Byron Stripling and Carmen Bradford perform famous classics from the Great American Songbook and recreate the magical moments of the greatest legend of jazz.
Breaking Barriers: An Astronaut's Inspiring & Winding Road to Space
Joan Higginbotham will take the stage at the Screaming Eagles Arena at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 7, for her presentation, “Breaking Barriers: An Astronaut’s Inspiring & Winding Road to Space,” followed by a moderated Q&A. Doors will open at 6 p.m.
Higginbotham’s presentation will take the audience aboard her STS-116 space shuttle mission to the International Space Station (ISS) and will explore how preparation, passion and perseverance were key to her successful voyage into space. She will also reveal lessons learned along her inspiring journey.

EVSC alone boasts more than 1500 multilingual learners who speak over 40 languages. The tri-state region boasts members from diverse backgrounds, including Haiti, the Marshall Islands, Latin America, India, and Africa, to name a few.

Event Details: Film Screening is FREE and hosted by WNIN Tri-State Public Media. Reservation is required. Seating is limited.
